Why I Enjoy Marching Band

Marching Band is a Great pastime. I enjoy Marching Band for three reasons: it is fun, practice is easy, and the band gets to go to competitions.

One reason I enjoy Marching Band is because it’s fun. One reason Marching Band is the band goes to football games. Football games are fun because I and the band get to watch the game and play when the team scores a point (which is very rare). At football games the band also gets to hang out a lot. Another reason Marching Band is fun is that the band gets free food. Who doesn’t like free food? The last reason I think Marching Band is fun is because I made new friends in the process. All of the people in the Marching Band are genuine people and all make good friends.

Another reason I enjoy Marching Band is because practice is easy. One part of practice that’s easy is Band Camp. Band Camp is easy because all the band has to do is listen to instructions and know your part. Another easy part of practice is private lessons, private lessons are easy because most of the music is pretty easy to play and learn. Also I can pick my own songs to play. The band also practices every other week day; all the band has to do at these practices is learn music and drill.

The last reason I enjoy marching band is because I and the band get to go to competitions. Most of the competitions happen on every Saturday, at these competitions the band competes against usually at least one other band in our class. The competition sort of in the middle of the season is the McDowell completion; the McDowell competition has the biggest trophy of them all (including championships). The last competition is championships at championships the food is the best and the most expensive.

Overall, as you can see I enjoy Marching Band a whole lot for three reasons: it is fun, Practice is easy, and the band gets to go to competitions.
