What is 17?
When I turned 17 I kept asking myself "what is 17?" At 16 you're experiencing this new found freedom of being able to drive and come and go as you please. Your parents are finally letting you taste what true responsibility is. Your life at 16 is simple. The mystery of your future can stay in the back burner of your mind. There isn't the anxiety and stress of figuring out who you are and what are your future goals and what college should you attend and what will you major in... The list of questions is endless. All I know for sure, at this point in time, is that I'm the student who sits in the back because I'm too shy to sit in the front. I'm the friend that pays attention to the small details about you and will put your needs above my own. I'm the sister that won't ever say no to you and will be there for you even when you aren't always there for me. I'm the daughter that can forgive your past mistakes and will try to make you proud of the person you've raised. I'm just another seventeen year old trying to figure out who I am and what I want to be.
