Shipped off

The time was now. I have been waiting all my life for this moment. I was about to be shipped off to the Marines. I was thinking about all my family, friends, and relatives. Am I making the right decision? Should I really do this to my girlfriend, and my parents? Or should I stand up for my country? This final minutes have felt like hours, or more like days. I couldn't stop thinking about my family. It was time to say goodbye, to everyone.
