Halloween Choices
When October came, I didn’t think about Halloween, until I looked into my agenda. After school I went to see what homework I had to do tonight and for the rest of the week. On Thursday I saw the one word ‘HALLOWEEN’. I was astounded that Halloween was a few days away! Then I noticed that EVERYONE was asking their friends what they were going to be for Halloween. Then I asked myself, ‘‘What was ‘I’going to be for Halloween?’’ I asked my sister and she said I should be a ginger-bread man because I have red hair. She said I should get dried bread slices and tape them onto myself. My mom said I should be Napoleon Dynamite. But I thought I could do something better for Halloween than those ideas. So on Monday we went to the Halloween store and at first there was nothing good that I wanted to wear. But after five long intense minutes. At the back of the store I saw the most beautiful costume I ever saw. The Stay Puff Marshmallow Man! I swear it brought a tear to my eye. When I came closer I noticed it was the last one. It was like when Buddy the Elf found his dad in the movie ‘‘Elf ‘’. It was amazing! The first thing I did when I got home, was rip the plastic bag open, not paying attention to the instructions that said ‘‘batteries not included’’. So I was just standing there in front of my bathroom mirror thinking that when I opened my eyes I would be a big fat marshmallow man. But when I opened my eyes, I was still myself. So I told my mom ‘’ It’s broken’’ She said ,‘’ You forget the batteries stupid. ‘’ she said playfully holding the instructions. Once I got the four batteries it required. I turned it on and I heard the machine sucking in air. When I opened my eyes again I was a BIG MARSHMALLOW MAN! It was a glorious moment as I walked around all funny like. So now I can’t wait for Halloween to come! And on that day, I will find out my fate.
