My First Roller Coaster
The thought of being 456 ft in the air had never sounded appealing to me. Ever since I was in the 6th grade I knew about this day. My friends would never shut up about it. When I thought about it, it would either make me really excited or a little overwhelmed. It was the 8th grade field trip to six flags.
I was so worried about going to six flags. I had never ridden a roller coaster before. & all of my friends had no clue. I didn’t want to say anything to them about it. I didn’t want to hear their questions on how could I have never rode a roller coaster before.
The day finally came of our annual 8th grade six flags trip. The morning of the trip, I woke with a lot of anxiety. Roller coasters go really high up & very fast. & I never was a fan of heights. I got on my bus on my way to school, everyone was excited. I, on the other hand, was feeling sick to my stomach.
On the bus on our way to six flags, I was trying to think of a plan. A plan to stay away from the big rides like Kingda ka. In the beginning of the day I was able to say things like “we should hit up the water park first. Or I would say “we can just go on the big rides last.” I was fine & we were spending most of our time at the water park & smaller rides.
We were about to go eat until someone mentioned we hadn’t ridden any of the big rides, & we should eat before & we would be too full to ride them otherwise. So we got on the biggest ride there, Kind aka. At first I was really scared & was going to back of it but I decided to do it instead. We were on the coaster & I was scared until it started & I really ended up liking it. Im glad I decided to do it.
