Accident
I was sitting in the car when it happened, the accident that is. It happened suddenly, without warning, like a gunshot or the sudden explosion of fireworks. The sound was utterly unbearable, the squealing and screeching of tires filled the air bringing with them foreboding news, it was happening. The glass shattered spraying itself through the car like a million small wasps, stinging again and again. The cars weight shifted, no longer was it a 3 ton car, now it was a crumpled heap of soon to be scrap metal sliding on its side down the road. In an instant the crash has happened and ended, feeling like an eternity of pain, but it’s over now, and I’m safe. But why? I looked around the car to see every thing and person scattered about, but not I, I am safe in my seat. My seat belt had saved me.
