Friday Night Lights
When most people hear the term “Friday Night Lights” the first thing to probably come to mind are the high school football games. They think of cheering on their school on the cool and chilly October nights. Maybe sitting with the Spirit Squad, going along with all of the cheers meanwhile representing their school colors. Others might think of going to hang out with friends or grubbing on thick, juicy cheeseburgers. Well to me is has a whole different meaning.
Me? I don’t care much for the burgers or hanging out with friends. In twenty years when I hear “Friday Night Lights”, I’ll think of the marching band. The blaring trumpets and the whistling flutes. I’ll think of the up-beat stand tunes they played on timeouts and the fight song they played every time the team scored a touchdown. That’s what I’ll think of. I’ll always think of the band and the football games and all of the memories to go with it.
