It was a couple of days before Halloween. I was sitting in my room watchin tv when my mom came in and started talking to me.

"The neighbors are having a Halloween party." she said.

"So, I dont want to go." I replied.

"But you have to," she exasperated,"otherwise they're going to bother us for the next month asking why you didnt go." I realized she had a point.

" Fine I'll go," I sighed," but I'm not staying long."

" Thats ok." she assured me. " The party didn't start until 7:00 so I continued watching tv to pass the time. When 7:00 rolled around I got dress in my chosen costume for the year. It was a Samurai costume with a pink dragon on the front. After that I left the house and began my jouney across the street to my neighbors house. The Halloween decorations on there lawn shining like a beacon to the future trick or treaters. My body began to fill with dread as I got closer and closer to the house. I don’t like my neighbors very much. They’re annoying and have a strange addiction to scary movies. When I got there sure enough they were about to watch a movie. The adults asked us what kind of movie we wanted to watch.

“A scary movie.” the girl next to me said.

“No I don’t feel like watching one of those.” Her brother replied.

“Come on its Halloween.” she said. Everyone agreed. The movie we watched was about a bunch of kids on a bus shackled to each other. They were all dressed in Halloween costumes. The bus driver was making sure all the kids were secured. One of the kids started trying to take his off mumbling about how he wanted to go home. He finally got them off and ran to the bus driver's seat. He tried to drive away but the bus was on a cliff and he drove off it. They all crashed into a lake below the cliff. The bus driver survived but the kids didn’t. I think the rest of the movie was about some people that visited the lake a few years later and the dead kids came out of the lake and started chasing them. I don’t really remember the rest of the movie or what it was called. It was scary though. Well at least to me but come on what 8 year old wouldnt be scared. The movie haunted me till next Halloween. I kept thinking the kids were in the dark corners watching me but then years passed and I got over it. I realized it was just a movie but it was one of the movies I never really forgot.
