life is like a box of chocolate you never know what your going to get

It was September 21, 2012 I was heading to my dad’s horseshoe tournament to watch him play. Me and my brother decided to bring are bikes to ride them around the park so we can have some really fun instead of sitting on the bench the whole time. As we pull into the parking lot at the park in Stony Creek I can see my cousin Ian waiting for me on his bike ready to go, Ian was 1 year younger has brown hair and Is shorter than me.

Ian says, “Hey Hunter let's go ride around I’m getting bored just standing here”

So I said “one sec let me get my bike out of the back.”

So I went to the back of the car and pull my bike out the back and my mom says, “be careful,”
I said, “yah sure I will.”

Who would have known what would happen next!

So me and Ian start riding around the park going thru paths and around curves try to think of something cool to do. When all of a sudden I see a hill and with a small path with a sharp turn going down to the left made of trees.

So I said,“Hey Ian watch this I bet I can go down this hill and cut through the trees and make it down the hill no scratches.”

He’s like, “Let’s find out.”

So I start to pedaling down the steep hill aimed for the curve I start turning and I’m losing control of my bike and I’m tipping over. The chain on my bike starts cutting into my leg and ripping through my jeans.

I screamed, “IAN GO GET HELP!”

I started to stand up and walk back limping and falling over every other step.

The next thing I know is my mom was running up to saying, “Are you alright,”
then I said, “Does it look like I’m alright!”

I’m standing there with my jeans almost ripped in half bruised, bleeding, and limping so yah I’m just fine She helps me to the nearest bench its old and wet and I didn’t want to sit on it and she’s just laughing at me in pain like any other good mother.  After she sets me down on the bench she runs away and then comes back with duck tape to fix my jeans because you know duck tape fixes everything. I kept trying to stand up but it was nearly impossible. But I managed to move under the gazebo where all the food and snacks where being held. I was starving from riding my bike everywhere and I didn’t eat all day so I ate a hotdog and some chips. But about an hour of sitting there talking to my mom and cousin and other family friends that are there my
mom says, “It’s time to go.”

So I start limping over to the car as my cousin Ian helps me. So after I get into the car we start heading home as I get tired and more tired until finally I just dozed off.
