That was our last day in the ranch so we went to the city, first we went to Santiago, Durango to get some souvenirs from the shops in Santiago. We had to live with my grandpa’s sister because we had nowhere else to go, we took showers at her house and then went to sleep. The next day we woke up and then had breakfast, after breakfast we said goodbye to my grandpa’s sister and left for Durango City. When we got to Durango City we got a BUNCH of candy from Mexico, like enough for 3 weeks, and we got slingshots from a shop.

Chapter 1: The Invite

My favorite vacation was when I went to Mexico for Spring Break, I don’t remember much about what happened that week but I’m going to tell you what I remember.
It all started two days before Spring Break, my Grandpa and Grandma invite me, my mom, my brother, and my sister to Mexico. After they asked us we said we will go with them to Mexico, then we didn’t go to school for a day because we needed to pack for our trip. After we finished packing we went to my great grandmother’s house to pick her up because she was going to Mexico with us. We picked her up and then said goodbye to our relatives,  then got into my grandpa’s truck and left for Mexico. It was a 24 hour drive to get to Mexico and then a 3 hour drive to get to the ranch we were going to live in. When we got there it was night so we unpacked, went to sleep, the next day I got up and went to the kitchen and my great grandmother was cooking some eggs with hotdog slices. I went outside to explore and I saw other kids here at the ranch so I decided to talk to them, we played hide and seek in the woods and went to go hunt, and all sorts of fun activities. Me and my grandpa caught a pig so we decided to take it back to the ranch so we could cook and eat it, my mom and sister made bread. When the pig was done all of us gathered together and ate the pig and bread, after we went inside and played a game call the fruit game. It is where you pick a fruit and if they call it you have to put your foot in the circle if you fail to do that, then you are out. We stopped playing the game and then we all went to sleep.

Chapter 2: The Goodbye

got up and ate some breakfast, after we went to go catch some chickens to eat. After we caught the chickens we cut their heads off and then burnt off the feathers. The chicken was done being cooked and then we ate the chicken. When the chicken was done we all went to the hot springs to take a bath in it. It felt good to take a bath there because all of the water was 100% percent clean. After all of that we lived with my aunt and they were cooking some fajita meat and it was delicious when we were done with it. After that we took a shower there and went to sleep. The next day we packed our things and started driving home. It took 20 hours to get back to Texas, when we got home we all just rested and ate some dinner. THE END

I wrote this because it was my first time seeing that side of the family so I wanted to share this experience.
