If I Won the Lottery...
It is not unusual for people to think if only I could win the lottery. However, when you actually sit down and wonder what you would do with all of your money, there are so many possible decisions that it is troublesome to decide. It is possible to donate to charity, buy a new house, go on an expensive vacation, buy everything you ever wanted, or save all of the money for future events. With all of these options, which one would I choose? I think the best plan would be to choose a little bit of all of them.
First, I would plan a trip around the world. Starting in Europe, visiting the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben, I will continue on to Asia, touring the Great Wall of China and going to the Tokyo Tower. I will continue my vacation, visiting an abundance of other locations. With all of my money from the lottery, I would not only be able travel the globe, but also visit all of the famous monuments in each country. I would invite my family and friends, making the trip as enjoyable as possible. For transportation, I would spend a part of my lottery money to purchase a personal jet. While traveling from country to country, I would be able to relax in my personal jet, and I would not have to book a flight or worry about the long lines at airports. While I would need to figure out a location to keep my personal jet and who would drive it for me, buying a personal jet will be a pleasurable way to spend my money. If I won the lottery, I would plan a vacation immediately and purchase a personal jet (and hire a pilot).
While I am on my wonderful vacation around the globe, I would expand my house, adding new rooms including a movie theater and an indoor pool. The movie theater would be smaller than ones that can be found at the mall, but it will be comfortable, with a popcorn machine and comfy theater seats. I would invite people over, and they would be able to watch movies for free, without having to visit the movie theater. An indoor pool with a jacuzzi would be convenient because I can swim even if it is pouring outside, and the jacuzzi can be used even in the winter. While expanding a house by adding a movie theater and indoor pool is not something that can be done everyday, it would be an exciting way to spend my money, if I won the lottery. Hopefully, after a trip around the world and renovating my house, I would still have enough lottery money for a few more ideas.
The rest of my lottery money will be spent on a few more things. First off, I will donate a portion to charity. Giving to those in need would be a way to give back to the community, and spending the money on others would be a favorable way to spend my money. In addition to donating to charity, I would also share the money with family and friends, because it will not be fair if I am the only person living a luxurious life. After donating a portion to charity and sharing the money with my family, I would put all of the money left into the bank. Spending all of the money on the spot may be thrilling, but saving some of the fun for the future would be even better. While I am not sure how much money I would be able to save, after all of the other spendings, I hope that I would still have enough money to have another exciting event in the near future.
My lottery money would be spent on a trip around the world, a renovation on the house, charity, and for future enjoyment. Deciding what to do if I won the lottery is exciting, but of the slim chances of winning, it will probably not occur. However, if I am one of the luckiest out there, I will not have to worry because I will know exactly how to spend my money.
