Personal Narritive

The time ticked and ticked until the hour finally came, I was one of the few people who got into Cedar Point early. I was staying in the hotel, and they let you get in early if you’re staying in the hotel.
I knew which ride to go on first - The Gatekeeper. I wanted to go on this ride since I went on the Corkscrew a few years ago, but I didn’t have time to go on it last year. When the gates opened I would rush for the ride.
I was looking at the beautiful water and the ugly black sand of lake Erie while waiting in line. Before you could count to 10 the front of the line was following me. I showed the person that was taking the tickets mine and I was in.
My mom said, “Meet back at the hotel at 5!”
I replied, “OK!”
When the cement touched my shoes I was going as fast as a rocket. I was passing a relatively small, sturdy stadium. Looking around to see if anyone was around, there was no one around. So, while I was walking I read the poster on the stadium. The poster said something about extreme sports shows at the park, “That seems cool, maybe I’ll come back,” thinking to myself.
As soon as I read the poster the bosters on the rocket started again. I passed a bunch of kiddy rides that would have tempted me to go on a few years earlier. I also passed a zone exclusively for kids about 7 and under. The cheesy statues of the peanuts characters we not impressive.
I was past that quickly, and was glad to ride my sight of that, but I was closing in on the Gate Keeper. There was a few natural places that made the park actual green that were up ahead. The perfectly cut grass and small trees at least would provide shade for people who sat in the benches some shade later in the day.
I stopped, The Gatekeeper line was in front of me, I’d never been so nervous in my life. Never had I seen a thrill seeker roller coaster ride line so empty before. The chains to separate the lines weren’t even up.
There were also two ramps leading up to the ride. The ramps weren’t even close to being used until later in the day. I was almost running up the ramps to get to the ride. I’d came to the ride in about five minutes.  “What is the ride going to be like?” ran through my mind a million times.
The ride was gone already, so the ride had to come back. I looked at the sleek blue rails of the track, and I realized how new the ride was. My head virtually turned by itself out to the loops and turns of the ride. Then I saw the columns that made this ride it, the open space between them where the rail went threw. That’s what made me so nervous about the ride.
I was ga-ga eyeing the ride when in line a random boy started talking to me. He was short and had brown hair. His voice was really high.
He said,“This is my favorite ride, I’m gonna keep riding it until the public comes in.”
I replied, “This my first time on the ride, I came last year but didn’t ride it, is the ride fun?”
“Oh yea,” he said,”That’s why it’s my favorite ride.”
The ride came back and I said, “Well here’s the ride.”
He said, “Hope you like the ride.”
It was time, my first ride of the day. I climbed in the seat, it looked uncomfortable, but surprisingly it felt like a memory foam mattress. The ride started, there was no turning back now.  Seeing the hill I was going on to start the ride made me feel nervous and excited at the same time.
I felt the jerk of when the chains started cranking, I was preparing myself for was to come. While going up the slope I was getting excited and nervous at the same time. I reached the top of the hill, the strap on the seat held fast, the strap was supposed to be as strong as an ox, and it was. The ride was turned upside down at the very top of the hill, an addition the creators thought would be thrilling. I reached the loop that would turn me back upright. The loop turned me back upright and the ride started to hit its main loops, I closed my eyes so I could just feel the movement with my body.
When I opened my eyes the ride was over. Fresh air flooded my nose again, a taste of the excitement was trying to make me go back for another ride. I thought to myself, “That was only about 1 and ½ minutes! I wish it was longer.”
I went to the exit which lead to stairs to the gift shop, the only exit to the ride. While in the Gate Keeper gift shop I thought to myself, “I have to go on more thrill seeker rides, that was really fun!” As I exited the gift shop I could see how beautiful the park was when people weren’t running around rushing to rides and games this made me realize how important expanding my box of crayons is.
