Wylde
There he stood, a viking of a man, Leather pants, black shirt, jean jacket, covered with patches, burn marks, and blood, his beard rests just above his chest, muffling his voice slightly, but no so much that it takes away the softness or the emotion. With a studded strap holding his electric guitar up, he shreds, plays faster than most people could ever wish to play, and with every note, you can feel the emotion, weather he be expressing his anger with speed, or sadness with a slow bending. There is more to this man than meets the eye, most would assume he is a viking, a biker, or a monster, but after sitting through one of his performances, you get to see the other side of this hulk. He is a man riddled with troubles, but is open with all of them. He is a man of comedy, blues, and sorrow, though you wouldn't know it by looking at him.
Sit him at a piano, and he will play you a mellow tune, and sing a song that will bring tears to your eyes, he is well educated, and a happy man, he is a man who has been around the world, held it in his hands, and then gave it back, He toured the world playing guitar in heavy metal bands, and drinking , "like a shell of a man". He is a man who enjoys the past, but also looks forward to the future, and embraces the changes offered, He is Zakk Wylde.
Instead of listing more things that this man is, I will let him do that with his song lyrics.
"For every sky that shines Shall meet the pouring rain For my will shall never break though it may bend Like the scars that heal yet never mend", "It all seems like yesterday, oh Like a bird, time just flies No sooner than you've said hello It's time, it's time, it's time to say goodbye" , "Lord, I question whether I've had my fill Lord, I question whether I can take much more You may laugh as I lay here bleeding No more afters or befores Some day you'll know just how I feel You left me there twice before Some day you'll know just how it feels Shattered, cast aside, stripped of your pride Like you were never nothing special Made you feel like another spoke in the wheel".
If those weren't enough to prove that there is always more then meets the eye, look him up for yourself.
(Lyrics are direct quotes from Zakk Wylde's original pieces, and I do not have the rights to them)
