My Family Ran the Boys Off
You might think your family is tight-knit but imagine this. In my crazy but loving family there are eight grandchildren out of the eight grandchildren there are three girls and five boys. Both of my other two girl cousins are way older than I am so it pretty much seems like I'm the only girl in my family. Now let me tell you about the boys in my family I have two cousins and a brother that I'm really close to. We'll start with my brother he's tall about six-foot tall use to be a bean pole but he's gained a lot of muscle and is very scrappy like a gazelle. now as for my oldest cousin that I'm close to “Dakota” he’s just a very stocky and looks like a bear without the fur oh wait he does have a lot of furs. And as for his brother, he's just a bean pole and belongs in a green bean patch. The three boys are very protective of me and a lot of people are afraid of them, but most of all they're scared of my father. Like Tracy said he’s “a pretty big man to be making mad!” The first two boys I ever talked to they had to go an ask my dads permission to date me. The first person my dad scared so bad we dated for a total of 48 hours. Wow, that's a record.
I am going to let you know why you shouldn’t bring or tell your family about your boyfriend or potential boyfriend until you know they are hooked for life. Just in case you find this really cute guy at Subway and you work up the nerve to talk to that really cute guy but you don’t want your family to find out so you put them under your contacts as “subway man”. This worked out pretty well for the longest time until word got around School and then my cousins and brother found out and quickly ran and tattled to my father. It didn't help matters much that he was a freshman in college and I was a sophomore in high school. Needless to say, that didn't last long after that. But he did make really good sandwiches!
Or Let's say one day you're at your cousin's wedding your whole family had been drinking including your dad and uncles. Some cute kid waits all night and finally gets the nerve to ask you to dance and you say yes so you are on your way to the dance floor but your family keeps teasing him and asking him all these ridiculous questions. Like did you ask me first, about time you ask her to dance? Did I say you can dance with her? Oh just wait for it you finally get to the dance floor and there are nothing but eyeballs staring at you. Then they start nitpicking his dancing skills. I think to myself this can't get much worse the night comes to an end and it’s time to drive the family back to the hotel because they have been drinking. We get back to the hotel and my dad keeps teasing me about it and making comments about how he's not a big fan of him, he doesn’t like his attitude at all. I just shook my head and say whatever. Everyone is finally sleeping and my phone starts buzzing up with Facebook notifications. I look and he’s been creeping on my facebook page and liking everything. UGH
I decide I'll message him in the morning so I do. Things work out we start talking but my father didn't know that we started talking until one night I was sitting in the window seal at my house when my dad wanted to know who I was texting. Let’s just say I’m not a very good liar. My dad ended up being okay with it so we decided to hang out. The first time he picked me up I made sure I was at my mom's. So just in case, someone asks you out you might not want to be around your dad! Things were going pretty great for a while until one night we were sitting on the couch watching a movie. We were home by ourselves which let me tell you it was a first. We got a text that my dad was on his way home so we knew he was coming any time. All of a sudden during our movie we hear gunshots outside our window. He looks at me and says I think that the warning sign and I better leave.
We actually made it through that night without running him off! You wouldn’t believe what really ran him off! Grandma. So you really don’t want to bring them around grandma especially if she's been drinking. He was on his way over and I get this text that says I don't have to meet any family do I? I about died laughing. Since I’m such a nice person I sent back I don't know I guess you'll have to find out. I've never seen someone so scared in my life when he knocked on the door. But grandmas have no filter and we all know that. Grandma talked about every single thing you don't want grandma to talk about. So the next time you think about bringing your boyfriend/girlfriend home or around your family you might want to think twice before you do!
