Sports
“Sports do not build character. They reveal it.” – (Haywood Hale Broun), Sports matter to me because I basically live by playing different types of sports. I started loving sports when I started watching football, basketball, and baseball with my Dad and brother on T.V. When I’m having a bad day I turn on the T.V. and find some kind of sporting event on, or go outside and practice lacrosse or football. If sports weren’t invented then I don’t think I couldn’t live; I just love sports so much.
“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.” – (Babe Ruth), This quote made me think of the 2006 World Series when the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Detroit Tigers. I watched the World Series with my dad and we were both very disappointed in the turnout but I loved the bond that we had watching the baseball games. We would sit down, and turn the game on and from there on we watched the game from the start to the end. It just was so much fun because my dad is always busy running us everywhere and for wants I was able to spend time with him.
Also I want to someday get a position in the sports area. Most likely I would like to be a reporter or a professional athlete. It’s been my dream since I first started loving sports. I just think it would be a blast having your dream come true; can’t you agree? I mean just think about it, it would be so much fun doing something that you always loved to do. I hope one day my dream will come true.
