Disappointment MAG
Theclock's winding down.
Time for one more play.
The whole crowd waswatching,
On that glorious day.
Our team's heating up,
And ready togo.
Six seconds left,
To finish the show.
We were on the four-yardline.
It was third and goal.
The QB yelled hike,
And looked for ahole.
I juked to the left,
Then dashed to the right.
A few secondslater,
I was out of sight.
I turned around sharply,
To set up forthe pass.
Only three seconds left.
Time to give it some gas.
I waswide open.
The quarterback saw.
He hitched back his arm,
With theball in his paw.
He snapped his arm forward,
And the ball was a'fly.
It was heading straight at me,
This was do or die.
The ball was soclose,
It was right in my hand.
Then something went wrong,
And Iwatched the ball land.
The game was all over.
The clock was at zero.
I had blown my chance,
To be the townhero.
