MORE THAN A GAME
Sports are the biggest source of entertainment around the world. There are many sports in America, but baseball is our pastime. Baseball is what started America’s interest in sports, and millions of people love the sport to this day. A baseball game is a very special event. Attending a game makes you realize that baseball really is more than a game.
Baseball is rich with history. There have been many changes over the years, but we appreciate the game today because of those changes. There are some dedicated fans when it comes to baseball. Every year each fan has high hopes that their team will win it all this year. No matter what the circumstance, when it comes to baseball you can never give up and you always have to believe. Baseball appeals to your senses in many ways. You see amazing things, the smells are great, and you hear some pretty cool stuff.
Attending a baseball game is a very exciting, mind opening event. The sights at a game are awesome. The grass fresh cut and Kelly green. The dirt soft, silky, and perfectly combed. The stadium filled with faces and camera flashes, the players warming up before the game in hopes of winning. There are people walking up and down the isles selling hot dogs, peanuts, and cotton candy. All these are wonderful sights at a baseball game.
The smells at a baseball game are limitless. The smell of fresh hotdogs fills the air. Freshly cut grass that smells like new beginnings is in the atmosphere. Peanuts and sugar filled cotton candy fill the air of the bleachers. The air smells cleaner, like there is no pollution or smog in it, everything is perfect.
The sounds you can hear at a baseball game are unforgettable. To start off there is not much better than the beautiful sound of a mitt popping when a fastball is rocketed in there by a pitcher. There is the sweet sound of a wooden bat crushing a baseball right after the pitch is thrown. There are fans yelling chants about the other team, and fans getting fired up when the umpire makes a bad call. Whenever someone hits a homerun or scores a run, the crowd makes and exhilarating noise as everyone’s hopes continue to rise. Those are just some of the many sounds you can hear while attending a baseball game.
As you can see, attending a baseball game is more than just loading up in the car and going somewhere. It truly is a one of a kind event. Baseball creates dreams, dreams are followed and passions are created. Baseball is a tradition, an American delicacy. Next time you are thinking about baseball and what it is about, think of all the fantasies that come from it and end the end you will realize that baseball truly is more than a game.
