Worth It MAG
Why do we do it?
Practices before sunrise.
Hot summer workouts.
Laps around the track.
Unwanted criticism.
Tears from frustration.
Bruises called battle-scars.
Bottled-up emotion.
Worn out broken shoes.
Soaking with sweat.
Too few days off.
Sleep deprivation.
Completely misunderstood.
Timed sprints.
Air is always tense.
Lifting weights.
Dreams of water breaks.
Lack of optimism.
Mundane drills.
Numb to exhaustion.
Ever-present pressure.
Gym is home.
Something always hurts.
Crazy expectations.
Blistered feet. Blood on the jersey.
Constantly distracted.
Long bus rides.
Locker room stench.
Endless hours spent.
Why do we do it?
Because somehow, in some way, for some reason, it is worth it.
