Go Get Loose
I stepped onto that baseball field with a white jersey, I felt pretty entitled. I sat the first half of the game and jumped up when I heard, “Harprit go get loose.” The bullpen door creaked open and coach yelled, “Let’s go.” I walked onto the mound and threw my warm up pitches. I was wiping the sweat off my forehead. The batter stepped up and I heard, “play ball!” I hit my first batter. Then I let a kid hit into the last out. I stayed on the bump and let my defense work. I never struck out a soul but kept a zero earned run average. My defense saved me.
