First Place on the Line
On Friday, September 21st, the Arrowhead Warhawks host the Kettle Moraine Lasers at Taraska Stadium. The Warhawks come into the game with a record of four wins and zero losses. The Warhawks are also in sole possession of first place in the Classic Eight.
“We have played well so far this season,” said senior wide receiver Kenny Finco. “We’re going out every day in practice and working hard, improving every day.”
Arrowhead is coming off a 34-0 win against Waukesha North last Friday. Junior running back Ty Jager had two touchdowns to lead the Warhawks. Brandon Kim, Dom Todarello and Sebastian Luksich each added a touchdown for Arrowhead.
“I thought the whole team played well,” said Finco. “It’s good to see the younger guys getting some playing time.”
Kettle Moraine enters the matchup with a record of two wins and two losses. They are however, tied for second place with Mukwonago and Waukesha West, and just one game behind first place Arrowhead. The Lasers defeated Waukesha South last Friday by the score of 49-7.
Arrowhead has plenty of experience on the offensive side of the ball. Arrowhead starts 7 seniors on offense. Dom Todarello enters the game with nine touchdowns in just 4 games. The versatile Todarello has five rushing touchdowns, three passing touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown.
“He’s been a huge part of our success,” said Finco. “We wouldn’t have been able to win that first game against Minnetonka without him.”
Kettle Moraine is led by senior quarterback Nick Cieslak. In four games, Nick has totaled 492 yards passing with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 191 yards with two rushing touchdowns.
The game starts at 7p.m. but there are plenty of pre-game activities going on. DECA’s Hawkfest starts at 4p.m. and goes until 9p.m. in the Arrowhead north campus parking lot. There will be music, games, rides, and food. This will be a great game between cross town rivals.
