Do you think anyone deserves to be known and appreciated by the whole world?  I do and it is someone very famous.  His name is Madison Bumgarner and he is a pitcher in Major League Baseball for the San Francisco Giants.  He has had many career highlights throughout his career and he is only twenty- five years old.  I think he deserves to be appreciated by all because he shows leadership and sportsmanship in the great game of baseball.  He shows this by being the ace of the Giants pitching staff and coming up very big when it matters the most in the postseason.  He also shows this off the field too.
In my opinion Madison is a number one type pitcher.  In 2010 when it was his first year in baseball he was called up late in the season he became a sensation even though he was not considered the ace of the Giants.  He was considered their fourth best pitcher that year behind Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Jonathan Sanchez, but showed ace type stuff.  In his rookie year he went 7-6 with a 3.00 Earned Run Average (ERA).  When the 2011 season began he started the season by going 0-6 with a 4.58 ERA.  Down the stretch he showed this was a fluke as he posted an ERA under 1.20 in the second half of the season.   He finished the season going 13-13 with a 3.21 ERA and finished 11th in the National League Cy Young Award voting.  Despite his stellar second half he was considered again the fourth best pitcher for the Giants behind Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Ryan Vogelsong.  2012 was a very strong year for Madison.  He finished the year going 16-11 with a 3.39 ERA and was considered the Giants second best started that year behind Matt Cain.  2013 was considered a great year for Madison in which he earned his 1st National League All Star Selection by his own manager Bruce Bochy.  He finished 9th in Cy Young voting that year and finished going 13-9 with a 2.77 ERA.  He was considered the Ace of the Giants that year.  Following his outstanding 2013 he was given the opening day assignment in 2014.  He was considered the ace of the Giants for the 2nd consecutive year finishing 18-10 with a 2.98 ERA.  He also made the all star team for the  2nd consecutive year being picked by NL manager Mike Matheny.  While at the plate this year he hit .258, 4 home runs, and drove in 15 runs.  He went on to win the NL Silver Slugger for pitchers and finished 4th in Cy Young voting for his arm.  He is great in his career during the regular season but even better in the playoffs. 
In my opinion I believe he is the best pitcher who ever pitcher in the playoffs, specifically the World Series.  In the 2010 World Series he was masterful in his start against the Texas Rangers pitching eight shutout innings and earning his 1st World Series victory ring.  In the 2012 he was brilliant pitching seven shutout innings against the Detroit Tigers and earning his 2nd World Series victory .  In the 2014 postseason he was even better.  In the National League Championship Series against the St. Louis Cardinals he earned the NLCS Most Valuable Player Award.  In the 2014 World Series he pitched seven innings of one run ball against the Kansas City Royals.  When he gave up the run it ended his streak of zero runs allowed in his postseason career on the road.  In game 5 he pitched a shutout. In game 7 he pitched five stellar shutout innings in relief and he earned the save.  He received his third World Series ring.  He also has the lowest World Series ERA of all time which is 0.25.  He shows Hall of Fame type stuff and if he keeps this up he will be in the Hall of Fame. 
As I said before I believe he should be appreciated by all.  I think this because he shows a passion and leadership qualities which I think the world needs to have.  I also think everyone in the world should know who he is.
