500 yards
I was swimming. I had been swimming for the past six minutes. Despite that, I still wasn't safe. I still hadn't been able to stop. I was tired. My whole body ached. It seemed like sledgehammers were pounding me. I felt like I was going to give out. I knew I was going to give out. I was more worn out than ever before. I just kept telling myself: 'Swim, swim, swim. If you keep swimming, you'll make it.' I could hear nothing. I was alone in the world. Finally, I hit something. I had finished my 500!
