Pirates Take on Cougars
The Charlestown Pirates first sectional game is right around the corner. The Pirates will be facing the Cougars from North Harrison. The Pirates head coach, Jason Hawkins, gave us the insight, 'It will be a good game, and hopefully we will win and move to the next round.' The Pirates (6-3) defeated the Cougars (3-5) earlier in the season by a big margin. Also senior star running back Cameron Metzger (Charlestown) will be returning from his knee injury earlier in the season. Inside sources say that the Cougars won't be able to handle the pirates. The final score from out inside source is 35-7 with the Charlestown Pirates winning and advancing to the next round. The winner will move on to play the winner of the Heritage Hills and Salem game. The Charlestown and North Harrison game will take place at Dutch Reis Field this Friday at 7 o'clock. No sports passes will be accepted and all IHSAA rules will be enforced. So come out to see the Charlestown Pirates Football Team in action!
