Sports
I’ve been involved with sports for a long time; I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, from not winning any games from 3-6th grade football. What was the point of even playing? From going to state with a 23-0 record my junior year in basketball. Being a citizen requires a lot of respect to the sports team, but more importantly the town itself. I think that anyone who wants this scholarship should be involved in a sport and give their all while doing so they should show respect for the town and the sports teams. I think that I always give 110% when I step on the court. However they should also do some sort of community service for the town, whether it’s picking up trash around the town or participating in the community service day at school. I have never been in any major trouble at school I show up everyday with a few exceptions, which I think is really important in showing good character. There are many other things that can qualify someone to be of “good character”. Being a good character can include a lot of things like, community service, respect for the town and being in good standings throughout your time.
