Baseball
On this day today 9/18/1963
the 3 Alou brothers Felipe Jesus, and Matty play in the San Francisco Giants outfield together for the first time. After manager Alvin Dark removes starting outfielders Willie Mays and Willie McCovey from the game he inserts Jesus and Matty for one inning of the Giants 13-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
the man that invented baseball was named Abner Doubleday in Cooperstown, New York, during the summer of 1839. Doubleday then went on to become a Civil War hero, while baseball became America's national pastime. Not only is that story untrue, it's not even in the ballpark
However, no written records from 1839 or the 1840s have ever been found to corroborate these no claims could Doubleday be questioned, because he had died in 1893. The primary source for the panel's conclusions was the 1907 testimony of Abner Graves a five year old resident of Cooperstown in 1839.
Baseball is America’s pastime the first game to be recorded was June 19, 1846 the teams that were playing at the time New York Nine and the Knickerbockers. The score was 24-1 in the 4th inning. And that is really hard to get in baseball unless the team is horrible
