The seventeenth of April
This is a story about a girl named Leila Evans and what happened on the night of...
April 17th 2010
It's really late i should be asleep but for some reason i couldnt sleep tonight and
i had no clue why i guess it had to do with the feeling deep down in my stomach it was weird i
just felt really uneasy like something was wrong.
'hmm maybe its because im home alone?'
I thought to myself.
'no it cant be im home alone alot mom has night shifts and dad is in the marines so i guess...
im used to but still this feeling what is going on with me ugh this is just great.
*sigh*
'I really need some sleep'
*crash*
"what the heck?"
I whispered to scared to speak any louder.
*boom*
'is someone breaking in the house'
i thought starting to panic i reached over to grab my phone and quickly dialing 911.
*ring*ring*
"911 whats your emergency?"
a small sense of relief filled me.
"yes hello i think someone just broke in my house."
*boom boom boom*
the sounds of footsteps on the stairs made me freeze.
"oh my god! their on the stairs please help me"
"miss. please calm down everything will be okay..is there anywhere you can hide?"
panicking i thought of the one place i used to hide from my older brother who was now in college.
"oh um i could hide on the roof.."
"are you sure thats safe ma'am?"
*boom boom boom*
the sound of the heavy footsteps were getting closer to my room and
sent me into a frenzy i shot up of of my bed and ran to my
window thank god it was already open i quickly got out shutting it quietly and climbing to the top of the roof lying down still panicking i momentarily forgot about the 911
opperator on the line.
"hello miss. are you there are you alright?"
"oh yes sorry i got scared they were so close to my room"
"it alright now i need you address so i can send some officers yo- .
the officers voice was cut off by the sound of a deep voice coming from your room
"she was in here man i heard her talking she must be close by"
"oh my god they know im here!"
"it will be alright ma'am calm down and ill send a car your way but i need your address"
"oh right um its 435 remmington square please hurry"
at that moment you heard a shushing sound it sounded like it cam from your room..
"ok ma'am i want you to stay on the line with me until the officers arrive ok?"
"o-ok um i think i hear-
the sound of the widow sliding open made me shut up.
"i think they know im up here.."
"is there anyway you can get down without being seen?"
"ma-"
"I finally found ya"
i looked over to see an out line of a tall man reaching out to grab me and i let a blood curdling scream he grabbed his ears in pain i took this moment to run
i ran over to the otherside of the roof spotting a tree close by i jumped to it i screamed again due to me nearly missing the branch i quickly climbed down and ran towards the woods
i couldnt go on the road id be found almost as soon as i steped on the pavement i could hear the 911 opperator tring to see if i was alright but i couldnt answer just yet
i ran for about three miles and ran out of breath ihid and quickly spoke to the opperator.
"im okay i think? i ran im somewhere in the woods"
"oh thank god d you know where in the wood you are?"
"i have no idea i ran for like um i think a few miles"
"do you think you could try and find a road so we can locate where you are?"
"yeah i guess"
there was rustling in the leaves near by and it sent shivers down my spine..
"oh no i think they found me"
"run...run far and run fast ok?"
"will do"
I took off running as fast as i could i kept running and running no matter how bad i hurt or how bad i needed to breathe then my adrenaline kicked in i ran faster and faster..
i finally after what seemed like a life time saw a road sign..
"oh thank god...i founf a sign it says 5th and harper."
"ok there is car near by it should be there in ten minutes ok?"
"great...hey is there any way you can contacted my parents?..WEll my mom her name is marsha Evans"
"yes"
"thank you so much can you tell her im sorry and i love her?"
"Yes"
"thank you aga-Ahhhghh"
i dropped my phone as i felt arms around me one around my throat choking me.
i tried to scream but couldnt all that came out was the sound of me choking...
i started seeing spots in my vision then nothing...
When the police officers arrived at 5th and harper Leila Evans was no where to be seen they searched the area but all they found was her cell phone they then went to her..
house to search for anything that could lead them to her and the perps but nothing...
Marsha Evans her mother was called and she shortly arrived at the the police station..
she walked to the front desk...
"hello i was called to come here they said it had to do with me daughter"
"Mrs.Evans?"
"yes"
The receptionist called over a tall man in a suit.
"yes?"
"this is mrs.evans"
"oh yes mrs.evans please follow me"
She nodding and followed him to a small desk..
Please sit"
they both sat down and he proceeded to tell her about what happened..
he explained that he was gonna give it his all to find her child and bring her home..
he then went on to ask if she met any one new just the normal routine of questions..
