The Color Blue
Why is my favorite color blue? There are many things in the world that possess the tones of the color blue and its significance. Every single day blue is there standing right in front of you. You look up, you see blue. You look down, you see blue there too if you live near water. Blue has certain meanings behind it. It’s kind of a mix of both dark and light colors. Blue can symbolize the idea of purity. Purity as in the refreshing coolness you get from diving into water, or the joy of a sip on a hot summer day. The blue-green color scheme is the one that pulls me in. Green represents nature. Nature as in the greenness that surrounds everyone and everything. Where things live, die, grow, and thrive. The opposite is dark colors such as Black, Brown, and Gray. I do not like dark colors. They’re so deep in the way they can represent the peaceful night sky with stars dotting the skies to the sadness that comes from mourning. In addition to my dislikeness of dark colors, light colors such as Yellow and Orange follow in their footsteps. Light colors can represent happiness and joy which combats my personality of not generally being happy every second. That’s why blue and green are the perfect contrast to my contrasting self.
