Not Alone
You, you are not alone. You do not suffer in your own agony all by yourself. You are not a lone soldier left to fight an incomprehensible amount of enemies. You are not on your own with this.
There is someone. Always there, always feeling the same feelings you’re feeling always crying the same cries you’re crying always hurting in the same ways you hurt. They are there and they are yours and you are theirs and you are not alone.
When you feel the most lonely you are never alone because there is someone—someone out there who is feeling every twinge and throb and pang as you are. And the two of you endure it together. Because pain is not unique. And with seven billion people in the world the most improbable thing is hardship agonized alone.
So the next time you’re in pain because of whatever hell life has given you, and in consequence you feel so alone, remember that in a quantity of seven billion, there is at least one—one—who feels the exact same way.
