How Dare You
How dare you steal them.
How dare you steal him from her arms as she longs for one more kiss.
How dare you take him from us when we scarcely see each other.
How dare you take them when everything is looking up.
How dare you take away the happiness she was earned.
How dare you take away the glimmer of the diamond on her finger.
You jerks, I’ll wipe those grins off your faces.
Stop laughing, stop taking.
How dare you mock us as we try to make smile.
How dare you tear us all apart.
You jerks!
Go ahead, have your fun, your jokes, your exchange of bullets.
When they come back, they won’t leave us again.
They better come back; you promised this country all of them shall return.
You better bring them back,
Or there will be more tears falling than bombs and shells.
