Colorblind?
Racism. Its a disease. Something that gnaws and scratches at the very heart of American morals. The worst of it is is that people think we are getting better! Sure we have a black president, and whites and blacks are allowed to attend the same schools, but this ugly problem is far from over. Every day at my very diverse school I see teachers write Hispanic kids off their list as "dropouts." The white kids, even some of my friends shun them and give them the titles "druggies and gangsters." Is that color blind? Just the other day I was at the mall and saw a white cop sit there and only pull over African Americans. Is that color blind? And even affirmative action, though I know it had people's best int rests at heart is a little racist. Its as if we are saying "Hey, minorities, you aren't good enough to get into college on your own, so let us give you a leg up." So you call that color blind America? Ha! keep dreaming
