Acceptence

*“ We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It’s one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it’s another to think that yours is the only path.”- UNKNOWN.

*Everybody is different, plain and simple. We all have our separate flaws, so there is no room for us to judge other people for theirs. So what if we aren’t perfect, in my vocabulary perfect means accepting people for their imperfections. Does it really matter how people look or speak to accept them? People are who they are for a reason. They are themselves. Perfection is a word society has used to brainwash us, and the way people are getting treated everyday sickens me. Pushed around in school because they dress like a “nerd”, people getting made fun of because of their skin colors, being gay, skinny, fat, weird, what ever it may be. The excuses are useless and never ending.

*I know what it’s like to be made fun of, from personal experience ive learned to accept people.

* I grew up in a dysfunctional home, a strong line of alcoholics. My father was an alcoholic and was abusive. He was in and out of treatment for years. My mom was not only an alcoholic but she was also addicted to many drugs, she was also in treatment for a few years.

Because of this, I was in and out of foster homes till the time I was 12. I was an angry child and acted out. I also developed habits of my own. Not only because of my parents decisions, but because of the way people treated me.

*“Ha-ha, your dad doesn’t love you because he hits you. What’s wrong with you that makes him do that?” That’s when I started questioning myself. I asked myself what was wrong with me, and I started to drink to melt the pain away from the way I was treated. Only then did I realize that this wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I realized there is nothing wrong with me. I just grew up differently from everyone else. Yes, I have my flaws, but once again, who doesn’t? Everyone I know has something they are not entirely proud of. They all have something they are terrified of people pointing out. And when they do, it tears them apart. So why must people pick on others? To make themselves feel superior? In reality your just making yourself look like a self conceited jerk.

People are hurting you belittle them. Consider how you feel when someone brings up something they know will hurt you, or make you angry. Doesn’t feel good does it? Acceptance. That is what we all hope for. But can we be accepted with the society we live in? With people being judgmental? If everyone would realize how beautiful people are on the inside then maybe, just maybe we will filled not only with acceptance, but with happiness we are all seeking for the same thing. And we cannot do it along. We must not judge others for things that are unreasonable. “Acceptance is not love. Love a person because he or she has loveable traits, but you can accept everybody just because they’re alive and human”
