Smoking Is the Real Bully
One thing I really don't understand at all is smoking. I really don't understand how someone can pick up a cigarette knowing it's like a little piece of death rolled up. In today's world it is very well known what happens to your body and how badly it can impact one’s life. I understand how one individual can be addicted to this daily task, but what I don't get is why someone would even start smoking in the first place. I understand if they started back in the days where no one really knew the consequences, but today everyone should be aware.
I know many smokers. I know each and every one of them want to quit in some form of way. They say they smoke not because they like them but they need them because they are addicted to them. Also, they describe cigarettes as a form of stress relief. However, it doesn't really relieve any stress. Smoking is just a short moment where people do not think about their stress. On the other hand, I have heard that some smokers do not like the taste and that they hate the smell because it's musty and grungy.
In my head the smoke from the cigarette is forming the Grim Reaper. From my perspective, smoking is not much of a stress reliever, smoking is apart of the stress and just adds onto other current stress. However, no matter how much a smoker says they want to quit 90% of the time they won't. They depend on that cigarette everyday of their life, and they will continue to depend on it until the day they lay in their death bed.
