Who Is The Best Emperor?

Why do you think the BEST emperor was Napoleon, or was it, Julius Caesar? They both have had great times and very good emperors. To answer that we have to break this down into a couple of questions. how long they have ruled? what did they achieve? did they extend their empires to their full potential? Julius Caesar was a well-known Roman statesman and general. He was a major factor in the fall of the Roman Republic, which was beset by issues with finances, power rivalries among the Roman elite, and political corruption. Caesar was a powerful man due to his ability to govern and military skills.  In 1769, Napoleon was born in Corsica. During the events of the French Revolution, he reached adulthood. Due to his military prowess, he joined the French military and advanced through the ranks quickly ("Comparison of Napoleon and Julius Caesar").
Caesar's conquest of Gaul (modern-day France and parts of surrounding territories) is one of his most well-known battles. He commanded multiple victorious expeditions against different leaders and tribes of Gallic origin, such as the Suebi, the Helvetii, and his most famous enemy, Vercingetorix. Gaul came under Roman rule after Caesar defeated Vercingetorix at the Siege of Alesia in 52 BCE (Frediani, A). He describes these campaigns in his Commentarii de Bello Gallico (Commentaries on the Gallic War). Napoleon, a young leader, earned a string of incredible wins against the Sardinian and Austrian troops during the Italian Campaigns. His military brilliance was evident in his creative tactics and methods. His ascent to prominence and repute were cemented by these victories.
Since Napoleon had a significant influence on both Europe and the rest of the world throughout his rise to power and rule as Emperor of France, his legacy has been varied and extensive. Napoleon's legacy is still up for historical discussion and interpretation; some see him as an aggressive conqueror, while others see him as a visionary reformer. The modern world is still impacted by his contributions to law, warfare, and governance, as well as by the enduring emblems of his reign. The Roman Empire was shaped in large part by the legacy of Julius  Caesar ("The Rise and Fall of Napoleon"). His power consolidation and reforms prepared the way for the early Roman Empire known as the Principate. Originally called Quintilis, July was dubbed in his honor, and the name "Caesar" came to be associated with the Roman emperors (Rattini, K.B).
Julius Caesar and Napoleon were both important historical personalities, yet they came from different backgrounds and lived in different eras. Napoleon Bonaparte and Julius Caesar were both significant historical individuals, yet they came from different origins, lived in different times, and contributed in distinct ways to the world. Napoleon's influence was more closely associated with the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, and legal changes, whereas Caesar's influence was more closely associated with the Roman Republic and the transition to the Roman Empire.
In conclusion, stating with certainty that Napoleon was "better" than Julius Caesar is an opinion that heavily relies on the standards by which their accomplishments are evaluated. Historians and academics continue to disagree over the lasting effects of these two historical luminaries, despite the fact that they had enormous historical influence throughout their respective eras. But Napoleon has more achievements, so most people would call Napoleon ultimately "better".
Grade B the use of citations is done quite well; however, the overall essay is simplistic and middle school sentiment. Most of the information presented is obvious, and the comparison is dictated by sources. Personal voice and evaluation are limited.
