Beauty Spots
“Ziiinnnngggg,” my bike screams the sound of my chain spinning. As I cruise through the open trail the sun beams down on me through the green and yellow trees.
“Shuuuk,” my bike moves the dirt making the sound of my tires and shock compressing as I go over the lip of a jump. Flying through the air. As if I said, “Alexa, disable gravity.”
I land and zoom to the banked corner. Slamming on my brakes, the dirt on the trail flies up into an explosion, like a little plane, crash-landed beneath my tires.
I step off my bike and look out at the view. The colors mesh with each other perfectly- green, blue, brown, white, and yellow. A breeze blows through the trees making the leaves dance, a happy dance. Taking in a breath of fresh air, I step back on my bike and ride further to feel weightless in the next beauty spots.

The peace was a submission to a competition that I wrote with my dad. It is about the beauty of nature on the mountain bike trails.
