My Strays: My Experiences with Abused and Abandoned Animals
I am a dedicated animal lover. I am against any sort of animal abuse and work my hardest to help any animal I can. I want to tell you some of my experinces involving stray and abused animals. One of those animals was Smokey. Smokey was a stray cat who came to our backyard one day. Smokey was a new addition to the stray cats we would sometimes fed. When Smokey came to us she was bone-thin, covered in sores, and had neon orange spots on her back and head. You want to know what those spots were? Paint-Balls. Some sick person had shot this sweet animal with a paint-ball gun. Smokey had quickly become my best friend. We took care of her and helped her to get better and recover from what had been done to her. I read to Smokey, told her all my worries and fears but most importantly I gave her the love she deserved. One day we went on a family vacation and asked our neighbor to check up on Smokey. We returned and were told that in our abscence Smokey had wandered off. I still miss her and hope she found a forever home.
