A Thank You Letter to My Mom
A person who has significantly impacted my life is my Mom. In my life, she is as heroic as Superman. For example, when we went as a family to a waterpark in middle school, we became great friends with a family. How did we find companionship at a random waterpark? It was because of my Mom. She randomly began chatting up with another mom in line, and before we knew it, we had family friends. I feel like I can always talk to her about anything. She has always inspired me to follow my dreams. Whenever I have doubts about myself, she always reassures me. She pushed me to pursue activities and leadership in clubs and apply for an internship that I greatly enjoyed. She is my biggest role model, and I strive to be like her every day. Her advice and motivation have served as catalysts for me to take risks and step outside of my comfort zone. When I’m feeling languid or down, she is always there to help me out. She always knows what to say to cheer me up. She’s never been indifferent to anything I say. No matter what, I could talk to her for hours, and she would always be engaged. Whenever my mind is racing - What if this happens? What if that happens? What should I do? - she can always swoop in and extinguish my panic. Sophomore year, when I was incredibly stressed about my semester exams during winter break, she made sure I spent time relaxing. She let me watch cheesy rom-coms with her, and it was amazing in letting me relax. If someone asked me to summarize my mom in only one word … I wouldn’t be able to. All in all, my Mom is the person who has most significantly impacted my life, and I am so incredibly thankful for her.
