I Watched
I watch them with tears in my eyes, that can’t fall. Not right now, that would just add to the problem, the shock, the drama.
She is red in the face with stress, wild curls framing her narrowed eyes.
She is flushed with rage, tears building around the corners of her eyes.
They both had slowly come together from they’re strong stances miles apart, to now face to face eyes locked in a duel.
They’re voices were raised in stress and denial and rage.
Words flew back and forth and hands fluttered in emphasis.
I watched them argue.
I watched the teenage hormones at full throttle.
I watched hearts break
I watched relationships ripped to pieces.
I watched a competition.
I watched tears and words and emotions.
I watched lies and rumors and assumptions.
I watched two of my best friends fight about nothing
I watched them say sorry and hug knowing none of it mattered.
I watched and did nothing.
