I Love Love
Love. The universal conversation topic. The meaning of life. The reason our species still exists today. The premise of zillions of chick flicks world round. Love.
The more and more we talk about love, the more I realize that our true love, is love itself. As human beings, we LOVE the idea of romance. We cherish moments that make us sigh and think that everything is right in the world. That maybe we won't die alone.
But does love exist? Is there such a thing? Even couples that seem perfect all have problems. And even if there were a "true love", would we get bored with a relationship with virtually no problems?
When I think of love, I think of opportunity and curiosity. I think of the answers to all my questions. But really, you never know all the answers to your questions until it's too late.
So in the mean time, I'll keep having my dysfunctional relationships. I'll continue to not live a fairy tale life. The men in my life aren't straight out of a Amanda Seyfried movie. I'm okay with that, because I understand that love is never perfect. And THAT is why we love it.
