What is Love?
What is love? Many people ask this question. Everyone wants the feeling of having someone forever and always. But, who truly knows where to find love or what it is? Looking for love could take a life time. Some people experience different forms of what they think is love. Most people experience lust rather than love. A lot of people can read the definitions of love and think they know everything, but what they don’t see is that all the dictionary has to say is that love is “a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person” and those are just words. Love is a feeling and a promise. It isn’t something you are supposed to take lightly; it should be honored, cherished, and respected. Love is an emotion that hides in the shadows. Only a select few receive the honor of having true love. Love is like a whisper. If you don't pay close enough attention it will pass you by and vanish, to be never seen again. If you are blessed with the opportunity of having love, take it and never let go because once it passes you by you never know when or if you will ever have it again. I believe true love can only come to a person once. You can love many people, but to have the feeling you can’t live without that special someone could only come once. For that to come multiple time proves you didn’t truly have love. Being young broadens the possibility of falling into lust. Falling into lust only generally starts us out in the process of finding love. Us as teens aren’t ready for true love in my opinion. It sets us on a path to where we don’t know the exact destination. And we fail over and over again. We fall and get back up again, it’s our human adaptation to defeat and love is one of the main causes to our defeat. So what is love? It’s a life choice that takes time and takes you to find your way around and through lust to an ultimate destination of love.
