Someone Like Him
Two people may fall for each other but sometimes one gets up and walks away while the other is still plummeting. Why is it so easy to love, but so hard to be loved back? Why do I fall for you even though I know you will never love me back? Why is there a “you and me” but never an “us”? All that I have learned by falling so many times is that you cannot make someone love you. No, you just have to be someone who can be loved.
At first you were just “someone”, just a person. But I guess that nobody is “perfect” until you fall in love with them. But then, after you see them being less “perfect”, you start to love them even more. I’m starting to like you less, but love you more. Then I wonder, will he ever look at me the same way I look at him? Or think about me as much as I do him? Will her ever love me as much as I love him?
