Teen Love
Teen Love
Teens can’t be in love, right? Everybody says we have no idea what love would be like if it punched us straight in the face. That we have no concept of emotions or feelings, or just that we are not mature enough to know the feeling of true love. This makes no sense; you know when you are in love. There is no age limit to feeling any emotion including love.
I’m sure you all have felt butterflies in your stomach while talking to someone; or felt really anxious. Even just not being able to stop smiling when you around someone because they make you so happy. This means you are probably falling in love with someone, or “crushing.” The worst part of crushing is that crushes sometimes don’t like you back. When some one likes you back or even likes you first it is one of the best feelings in the world. It makes you feel happy, like you actually mean something to some one. That’s just barley the feeling, it is so unexplainable; when you fall in live its like a drug. You feel on top of the world, and don’t even think about how it will affect you in the end.
Teenage heartbreak, why most adults think teens can’t fall in love. The thing is adults make the same mistakes when falling in love that teens do. We both fall in love with people we know will hurt us in the end, but it feels right in the moment. We both fall in love people who just use us. We both experience heartbreak no matter how you look at it.
Parents or adults that had a horrible heartbreak, or never had a relationship in high school are most likely to deny that teens fall in love. Mostly because they no what heart break feels like at a young age, or just never had that feeling of someone falling in love with them as a teen, but those people are just protecting their children.
All in all, teen love does exist, everyone has meant high school sweethearts; or at least remembers Marshall and Lily from “How I Met Your Mother.” But, rarely will you fall in love with out getting your heart shattered. Don’t try to make yourself fall in love so you seem like you are older or more mature, that just leads to bad experiences and will make you look more immature to the people around you.
