Because To Feel Is Amazing.

Why do we do it girls? Why do we allow ourselves to be sucked into the devastation and heart break that is the typical teenage boy? We knowingly open ourselves up to them again and again, giving them every last piece of us in return for what is usually limited appreciation. Why? Because we don’t know how not to – that’s why. It’s inevitable. And do you know what else? WE ENJOY IT. The harsh truth is that the heavy pounding of our bruised heart as the tired tears trickle down our already damp cheeks reminds us that we can feel, and to feel is amazing. People say there is a very thin line between love and hate; this much is true. But are they the same? Gosh no. After all the vast majority of us have not yet been blessed with truly getting to fall in love, and we all long more and more each day for this thing that is publicised in every inch of our lifestyles. Being literally whisked off our feet is an image we owe the pleasure of thanking the creators of The Notebook for. We helplessly dream. Let me tell you something though; dreaming is important. It means we have direction, a purpose and a goal that somewhere underneath the mask we wear; there would be a pain, a pain that would last a lifetime if we were to not make this dream a reality. But these dreams should not be wasted on circling love hearts round the face of the captain of the football team – yes we’ve all been there – but spent trying to do something for you. Something that makes you happy no matter what that is. Everyone has a dream and I encourage you to find it and pursue it until the very end; only then can a girl be truly content.

I was encouraged to start writing (she says I'm a pro at ranting) by my English teacher, and I'd like to try and speak from my own experiences to hopefully help someone out there understand they're probably not the only one in their current situation.
