Favorite Quote:
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

~Khalil Gibran

Sometimes I think the storm is easier than the aftermath because it is present, easily seen by everyone who is aware of it. In the aftermath, the storm rages on every second of every day for those it directly affects, while everyone else lives normally and moves forward with ease. And when the storm is mentioned by the front runners, when the memory of it resurfaces because the front runners cannot hold in the pain anymore, it becomes an issue for everyone else. What is there to say? Why can't you simply move on? Because it was never that simple in the first place. Because the memories don't stop, and it feels like there is nothing to move forward towards. The storm changed everything, making even the survivors feel lost.
