A journal entry- Why I write
I write not because I'm some creepy teenage girl who stay home on Saturday nights cutting herself to Bohemian Rhapsody like some people seem to be stereotypically compelled to think. I write not because I feel small or misunderstood, but because I feel huge and meaningful when i pick up the pen. I write for the joy of the hunt and the reassurance that someone out there saw what I had to say and related to it and respects it entirely. I write because I have this thought that maybe one day someone will read my words and decide tat they won't cut themselves anymore and that life is too meaningful to throw away. i write to make a difference in a world that desperately needs help.
