Musical moment- The feeling of being and creating a moment in a music performance, that gives you a sense euphoria. In this moment you all you can think is wow, I created that. This is a common term that is used in a simple music class. Though the terminology may be different the meaning is all the same. Many students will benefit from the cultural, academic, physical aspect of playing music. This is why music education is beneficial and should be kept it schools.
Higher grades will make you, your parent, and your teachers happy, right? It's as simple as picking up an instrument you've been interested in for awhile. Studies shown music advance with the brain's "executive function". ---that is is describing the way the brain problem solving and organizing. Even tests show that the IQ scores of music students were higher than any other group. A senior Christian Peth who attends my high school (Sweet Home High School) will be attending Berklee College of Music after composing a beautiful music piece. This shows how music can open new doors for its students. An interesting fact is singer, guitarist, and songwriter John Mayer also attended the same college. Even E. Glenn Schellenburg a University of Toronto psychology professor agrees, after tests students who participated showed an exponential higher IQ to those who did not. Simply as learning to a play a few notes on a page can help simply make you happy. Not just you, your parents.
Music has become a simple yet complex enjoyable tool to help with physical functions. Music as a tool can help predict an early reading disadvantages by using an audio sequence. It also helps with air support. So in a simple term you're using your diaphragm to sustain a note. With that it'll in general increase your lung support. Even better music can be used as a therapy for disabled. It is even better with showing great support for self esteem.
Some say music education is too expensive, and low income schools won't be able to afford it. Music can bridge the gap. K-12 music classes $187 per student annually and 1.6% of the total education budget. Isn't it worth the benefit of the students than the money.
