Top 10 Video Games I Played in 2023
1. Valheim
I played this game with my best friend and we had a bunch of memorable moments where we played all night. This is the first extremely challenging survival game I played and overall the best experience I would relive again.
2. Death Stranding
I played this game at the end of 2023 and it was a wonderful experience as this type of game I do not usually play. It has a rich story with meaningful characters. My favorite actor, Mads Mikkelsen, was a face model in the game. I played this game for hours straight to complete everything.
3. Overwatch 2
This is a game I come back to every year and it’s a classic to wind down and have fun with friends. As well as achieving my own personal goals in the game to keep Top 500 ranking.
4. Outlast
This game feeds off fear and you only have two choices as fighting is not one, you either hide or run. Outlast has a good story to follow and it is impossible to predict where it will go next. Outlast challenged me with its Insane Mode, I also attempted speed runs with Outlast.
5. Subnautica
This is a thalassophobia game that pushes the boundaries of fear. Excellent survival game that keeps you on your heels. The graphics are rich and the game feels meaningful.
6. Subnautica: Below Zero
This is a sequel to Subnautica and as it wasn’t as good as Subnautica, it had the same themes as with the suspending fear and rich graphics. This game had more story, characters, and lore compared to the first game.
7. Inside the Backrooms
This game is based on the fear of apeirophobia and I find it brilliant how it executes it with its several levels and entities. Definitely more enjoyable when I played with my friend as it is easier to go through the puzzles to continue onwards.
8. Warframe
This game is similar to Overwatch 2, as it is a regular game that I come to every once in a while to achieve new feats. It is a splendid MMORPG that has tons of content and there is always something to do.
9. Slime Rancher
Slime Rancher is an example of an indie game, it is a farming game except with slimes and it has a rich story with characters. It is peaceful to do your tasks and there is no threat of enemies or death. It is a calming game to round up a bunch of slimes and make tons of money.
10. Spyro Reignited Trilogy
This game is remastered of three Spyro games and the remastered versions are very well done. These games are intensely nostalgic to go through and re-experience their magic.
