Passion
It's not even fair when us athletes cannot participate in the sport that we love. Yes, we can adapt and love another sport, but it will never be as strong as that first rush. It will never be as powerful. It will still be amazing, because we have that thing in us. It's that second when you have the ball and EVERYTHING you have done has lead you to this moment and this is YOUR moment and you want to freak out, but you swallow the fear and you throw the ball, you pass it, or you score with it. You do something other than freak out. You put all of that energy. Sink or swim situations. Don't forget how to swim.
