What I Am Looking Forward to This Summer
What I Look Forward to During the Summer
When I hear that last bell sounding, my classmates screaming with joy, I know it’s summer time. So many thoughts about what activities I want to do come rushing into my head. Should I have some friends over? Should I go to the pool? Maybe I’ll just go for a bike-ride around the neighborhood. This is what I enjoy so much about summer that no other time of the year can offer. The freedom of choice.
Although I love the freedom that Summer brings, there are things that I look forward to that I am not exactly free from. I take part in many activities and sports over the summer that make it that much more fantastic. Two of my favorite Summer sports are running and golf. There is almost nothing better to me than going to play a few holes with friends or running a few laps around the block to cool down. I also participate in many other activities like my personal favorite, Rock Camp. Rock Camp is an eight week course that encourages kids just to rock out and improve their instrument skills. Participating in sports and activities over the summer is one of the many reasons why Summer is my favorite time of the year.
My absolute favorite thing to do over the summer and what I look forward to the most is Summer camp. I go to a YMCA camp on the beautiful Phantom Lake where there are so many things to do that vary from ziplining down a ravine to making a necklace at the arts and crafts shop.
I’m still not sure about what this summer will bring, but I’m sure it’ll be a blast!
