Do you like video games? We all do, but some people take video games a little too far and too serious. Many shootings come from humans that play these violent games. Games like Call of Duty, Gears of war, Assassin’s creed, and Dead space all contain blood, violence and sudden deaths. They can also cause some human brains to think that since it is just a video game, they could act it out too and expect nothing bad to happen. Well, they're wrong!

In the U.S, 97% of 12-17 years old play video games on a regular basis. This gives an $11 billion dollar boost to the video game industry. All of these games you call fun are a big hit… In causing violence, that is. Violence like shootings, bankrupts, destruction, and lost lives. Why don’t people just stick with the rated E games? I bet that you’re thinking right now, “OMG, this guy is soooo right”!... Well I am.

We all know that video games are violent but, what are the possibilities that video games could actually be good? Some people say that video games boost up your skills and strategies like hand and eye coordination. I personally agree. Games like Tetris, Bejeweled, Pacman, and N+ involve strategies that must be used to finish. Playing these games make you think more in the real world. Also, some games are meant for kids to learn in a fun, educating way like the games you may have played on cool math.
I think games are not all that bad, just the choices you pick for violent games are.

You heard of the game Resident Evil? I think it is a very awesome game, but it is a violent horror game that has monstrous creatures come out of dark, eerie corners and attack you the second you meet gazes. If you think that game is not violent enough, try the game Dead space. Dead space is a more frightening game that not only involves monstrous creatures, but it also involves more gun usage and disasters than Resident Evil. There are plenty more of these type of games in the United States. By now you should get the idea that games are violent and they torment kids into doing the wrong thing… Right?

In conclusion, I think that most games are fun, but they are also violent too. Your favorite video game could actually be a game that caused an act of violence in the past few months or so. Don’t you think you should reconsider playing these games?
