Apparently, having thee most hits of all time in all of Major League Baseball (MLB) isn’t enough to have a chance at being inducted into the hall of fame. Pete Rose has been a topic that has been being discussed for years, but will he ever be elected into the Hall in Cooperstown, New York? I think if people look at Pete Rose’s statistics in the National and Major League records, and compare it to 21st Century. We need to look past the waging of Pete Rose on the Cincinnati Reds, and see that nobody has touched his records without performance enhancing drugs (PED’S). Isn’t that like an elephant in a room?

During his 23 years as a ballplayer, he managed to set multiple Major League records. According to Pete Rose’s official website he managed to record the most hits of all time. Also stated by Pete Rose’s official website he has a record setting 14,053 at bat’s. Now for the most noticed record by everyday people; 4,256 hits.

Pete Rose played for Cincinnati; Cincinnati is in the National League. There is two leagues in the Majors: National, American League. But the records Pete Rose left, in all of baseball are outstanding. Released information by Pete Rose’s official website states: Pete Rose was a seventeen time all star at five different positions, had the most career runs; 2,156, also the most doubles; 746, and the most extra base hits as a switch hitter. But, Pete Rose decided to retire, and move on to a manager.

After retiring from MLB as a player, he became manager of the Cincinnati Reds. However, there was a so called “significant” incident, according to Public Iastate. Pete Rose wagered against his own team. Maybe back in the day it was a big deal,  but if you compare it to th  players today his so called “wrong doing” is a pathetic reason for being banned from the MLB.

Pete Rose could be considered one of the greatest of All Time, just look at his stats. If baseball is going to forgive Alex Rodriguez, (A-Rod), for using PED’S. Why should he be able to return for actually cheating? Pete Rose played his heart out, worked day in and day out. He didn’t need PED’s, considering half of the Professional Athletes need them.

Even tho his Major League and National League Records are still untouched, he is still denied induction into The Hall. I shared my opinion on why he should be inducted into the Hall, questionably the G.O.A.T.  I showed outstanding statistic. But, I could write on and on about Pete Rose’s induction, but nothing would change. If baseball gives forgiveness to PED user’s, why can’t they give forgiveness to a wager. Everybody knows he earned to be in The Hall.  Let’s make things right before he kicks the bucket, so he doesn’t feel worthless.
